Slitting / Rewinding

Spectex's slitting capabilities allows the precision slitting of a variety of materials including felts, scrims, fabrics, foams, papers and foils (to name a few). Starting rolls can be as wide as 84 inches and 40 inches in diameter. Finished slit rolls can be as narrow as ½ inch and put up on cores from one inch to three inches. Our modern slitting equipment assures the fastest possible turnaround times without compromising quality. Our reel to reel slitting machines can handle a wide range of roll formations including narrow web slitting. We utilize several different cutting methods (shear, razor, score and hot knife) as well as multiple winding techniques (center, surface, center-surface, duplex with optional lay-on rollers).

• Narrow webs to +/- 0.010 inch tolerance.
• Roll widths up to 84 inches.
• Roll diameters up to 40 inches.
• Material thickness from 0.005 to 2.000 inches.
• Core diameters from 1 to 3 inches.
• Edge and line guide.
• Cutting methods include crush, razor, score and sheer and hot knife cutting.
