Most manufactured products require some degree of post-production machining and finishing prior to market. Spectex’s value-added laminating, light assembly, sorting and packaging, skiving (splitting) services and secondary operations prepare the product for assembly and ensure all critical tolerances, quality and performance requirements are achieved.

Spectex specializes in providing secondary operations that compliment our core competencies in product design, materials selection, materials converting and manufacturing.

Value-added services and secondary operations include laminating, light assembly, sorting and
packaging and skiving (splitting):

• Laminating Services: Spectex offers laminating services for a range of materials including adhesives, film, paper, non-wovens and transfer tapes with liners laminated.
  
  
• Light Assembly, Sorting Packaging Services: Spectex offers semi-automated and hand assembly for intricate work, small roll products or specialized packaging requirements. Our capabilities include packaging slit rolls and felt-dot rolls for retail, high-volume projects.
  
  
• Skiving (splitting) Services: Spectex employs state-of-the-art equipment for advanced skiving (splitting) processes. We can convert a range of bun materials including foams, rubbers, urethanes and foams to a custom thickness in accordance with exact customer requirements and specifications. Standard tolerances for our skiving (splitting) services to + / - .005" (+ / - .003" can be achieved, depending upon material), widths up to 16" and thicknesses up to 2".
